Is your website mobile friendly? MM Website Design

Updated 1/25/24

Let me start by saying, as a small or new business, having a website is more essential than ever if you want to be found online.

Additionally, a website shows credibility and professionalism.  It also lets people see who you are and what you have to offer, whether it’s a service or product.  Don’t forget to add your contact information.  It happens.

Ensuring your website is easy to navigate allows your visitors to find what they are looking for without clicking on several pages, losing their way, getting frustrated and well the inevitable happens.  They have left your website.

Secondly, your site needs to display well on mobile devices.  People are searching the web on their cell phones more than ever to find what they are looking for.  I grabbed the below from Google.

What percentage of people look at websites on their phone?

I was looking at my own website on my phone a few months back and was surprised to see that my mobile viewing was horrible.  As a website designer, it was quite embarrassing.

Of course that issue was rectified IMMEDIATELY!

How did that happen?

Things can happen on the back end of your site occasionally and in my case, when my WordPress updated to the latest version, it threw my mobile viewing all out of whack.

It didn’t take long for me to update it but it could take you more time if you’re not sure how to address the error so be sure to check your website often and feel free to reach out for assistance.

Let’s pause for a moment.  How does your website look on your mobile phone?  Take a look.

Let’s get back on topic

If you want your business to grow, having a website definitely helps.  Don’t forget to market and put yourself out there.

Be in the forefront with your audience.  Be true to your voice.  I know AI is out there so be careful. I always advise to be true to your business and to write and be who you “really” are.

I’ve seen more and more websites using AI and they just look, well, like AI did it all.  FAKE!  Enough about AI.

Simply put, when you have a user friendly site and it looks great on mobile devices, it not only provides a better user experience for your visitors, but it also helps with where you rank on Google.  You want to keep your visitors engaged and NOT seeking out your competitors.

Google has been prioritizing mobile for ranking more and more. Another reason for your site to present well.

Don’t miss out on potential clients, customers or visitors because you either don’t have a website, your website isn’t providing you with what you need and/or it’s not displaying well on mobile devices.

If you want your business to grow, keeping your website top of mind will help increase revenue, gain new clients, show credibility and professionalism.
