Customer Service And The Importance Of It

 

Does it bother you when you call a business and you can’t get through without going through a number of selections to reach the right department or even leaving a message and not getting a call back?

Think about it, if it bothers you it certainly bothers your clients and customers as well.

Not being there for your clients and customers simply aggravates them in any type of business, whether you are a retail business or offer a service.

Customer experience is SO IMPORTANT and outweighs the product or service. Make it easy for your customers to get in touch with a real human on social media, messaging apps, email and if you cannot answer the phone, try to call back on the same business day.

As a small business you should be accessible, not a faceless business. Be there for those who are helping your business grow.

A known fact; keeping in touch with your clients and customers makes them feel appreciated.  If things take time to produce or create, update them.  It makes a world of difference to stay in touch.

If there are issues such as complaints, simply stop and listen.  What are you hearing from your customer or client?  Find the cause and try to resolve it.  That is great customer service right there.

Additionally, if you screw up, own up to it.  If you don’t know the answer, let them know you’ll look into it.  Honesty builds trust.

Leaving a client or customer hanging by not getting back to them or fixing a problem gets around to others and it could cost you in more ways than one.
